Bond Oversight Committee

KCPS is currently accepting applications for individuals interested in serving on the nine (9) member Bond Oversight Committee (BOC). The purpose of the BOC is to review bond expenditures and projects to ensure transparency and accountability to the KCPS community. Committee members will monitor bond projects and expenditures for consistency with the April 2025 voter-approved General Obligation (GO) Bond package, timeliness, quality and budget. This is a non-paid volunteer position. 

BOND OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE (BOC) COMMITMENTS: 

  1. Committee Members will serve two-year terms and may be reappointed up to three times.

  2. Committee Members will attend quarterly meetings and will miss no more than two meetings per year.

  3. Committee Members will report to the Board, no less than annually, summarizing the status of the Bond program and identifying any issues of concern.

  • Signed Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form 1. Submit online (included in online application form) or 2. Email signed copy (ENGLISH / SPANISH / FRENCH / SWAHILI) to legal1@kcpublicschools.org or 3. Pick-up and return at the Board of Education, 2901 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64109, ATTN: CHIEF LEGAL COUNSEL, during regular business hours
